How to reach Sorrento

In order to reach Sorrento, you should reach Naples and from there travel to Sorrento. Naples is 50 km from Sorrento.
TO NAPLES
FLIGHTS
The closest international and national airport to Sorrento is Capodichino Airport situated in Naples (50 km from Sorrento). Take in mind that the closest intercontinental airport is Malpensa Airport in Milan or Fiumicino Airport in Rome. Flights to Naples from the main European cities are regurarly guaranteed.

TRAINS
You can reach Naples by train. There are three main train stations in Naples: Central Station, Mergellina Station, and Campi Flegrei Station.

FROM NAPLES TO SORRENTO
You can reach Sorrento from Naples in different ways:
FROM CAPODICHINO AIRPORT TO SORRENTO
- by bus:
There are daily buses from Capodichino Airport to Sorrento with the following timetable: (Phone: +39 081 8015420)

 

FROM CAPODICHINO AIRPORT TO NAPLES AND SORRENTO

Alternatively you can reach the center of Naples first and from there go to Sorrento by boat or by local trains.
In this case, there are daily buses from Capodichino Airport to either the Central Station (from where you can use the local train called "Circumvesuviana", taking in mind that there are no trains for Sorrento after 10 p.m.), or to Piazza Municipio (from where you can walk to Molo Beverello port to take hydrofoils and ferryboats for Sorrento. Hydrofoils and ferryboats are also available from Mergellina port that you can reach from Piazza Municipio by bus or by taxi).

In general we suggest to arrive to Naples Airport by early afternoon to manage to reach Sorrento easily. If you arrive to Naples very late you should consider to travel to Sorrento the day after.
